History of the manufacturer
The Ca’Nova Winery is nestled on the watershed of a mezzanine hill, “coast between two others,” in a privileged position: the fertile, sunny slopes, mild climate and natural shelter from the rigors of winter have been the architects of winemaking since the time of Frederick II.
Formerly called the CostaMediana Tabernariorum because of the large number of “tabernaria et tabernariorum,” innkeepers and taverns of mescita, these places have always been places of wine production.
A vocation identifiable even in the name that the House entrusted with the fief gave to its mansion: Castello del Tabernieri, whose round tower and square-based keep, which have survived the action of time, are still visible among the vines that border its perimeter.
